For the past 10+ years I have been a software engineer. Climbing the ranks from the lowly new-grad to lead engineer. Every step of the way I realized more and more about how little I knew. I mean when I was a new-grad I thought I had it all figured out because I studied Turing machines in college.
The truth of the matter is that the field of Software Engineering is vast. Too much for one person to ever become a full expert. Even drilling down into individual sections, it takes years to be considered an expert. With an ever-changing landscape of tools, best practices, and guru’s selling you the “one truth path”, it can be difficult to get your bearings.
I wanted to create a newsletter that is helpful for younger developers to get up to speed quickly, and have access to me for advice, tips, and mentorship. If you subscribe to this newsletter, I will be available anytime for emails, chats or advice.
I hope to publish twice a week, one free, one paid, to share my ideas, things I have learned, and how-to guides for becoming a valuable asset at any job.
Come with me, and lets learn more together.
